How does the tour take its course?
Baja California is an elongated peninsula in Mexico, bordered on one side by the Pacific Ocean and on the other by the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California). This place is unique: snow-white dunes, mesmerizing desert landscapes, huge perennial cactuses surrounded by rocks. This little paradise has retained its pristine nature and attracts travelers from all over the world every year.
There's another little feature that attracts adventurers: of course, our favorite giants - whales, and this is one of the best places in the world for whale watching!

    Gray whales interaction
Each year, gray whales travel south along the coast of North America towards the Gulf of California, where they mate and give birth. This attracts whale lovers from all over the world. Gray whales are one of the friendliest whales, they come close to boats, put their heads on board, allowing people to touch, hug, scratch and kiss them! We usually don't touch wild animals, but these giants seem to enjoy this kind of attention from people and spend a lot of time near the boats, so why not..

Freediving with humpback whales, dolphins and seals
We believe that the best place to interact with marine mammals is under water. That's why in addition to boat whale watching, we will head to another location where it is possible to also swim with humpback whales, dolphins, seals and mobulas. Swimming with free dolphins and seals is an incredible experience! They often come in large groups and once we are in the water, they start to play with us. They come very close and whistle something in "dolphin language".

Charming fishing village by the ocean
Puerto San Carlos is a small town of fishermen. We'll stay in a comfortable and picturesque hotel, eat delicious Mexican food and seafood, communicate with locals (you should learn a few words in Spanish beforehand) and enjoy the incredible sunrises and sunsets.

    Cactuses
Have you ever seen cactuses in the fog? Silhouettes of huge perennial cactuses in a thick for look very exciting! We will also look for the Dragon Fruit-juicy exotic fruit, which ripens on wild cacti at this time of year.

    Birds
Just imagine: thousands of pelicans, gulls, frigate birds and herons in one place!
  • 6
    Snow-white dunes
The dunes are another highlight of this place: snow-white sands and barchans, endless desert and Martian landscapes. Bring bright outfits - colorful photos guaranteed!

We will spend these 5 days in the iconic place of Magdalena Bay, where we will search for gray whales. Magdalena Bay is a famous spot for watching giants of the sea located in Baja California. Perhaps the most extraordinary wildlife encounter on the planet takes place here. Grey whales feel very calm here, mothers often seek out human interaction as they approach the boats to present their newborn calves while encouraging visitors to scratch their heads.

In addition, we will take a trip into the ocean aiming for free diving with other whales and underwater animals.
