- 1Swimming with humpback whalesWhat makes Tonga special is that it is the end of the humpback whale migration from Antarctica, where the females give birth and raise their calves, and where you can swim with these giants at arm's length in the open ocean.
- 2Diving with sharksShark diving in Fiji is an additional option after the main programme. On almost every dive you will see seven species of sharks: blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, silver sharks, nurse sharks, lemon sharks and the undoubted stars of the show - bull sharks. Watching is done without being caged, each dive is well organised and strictly planned.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in the Kingdom of Tonga (TBU Airport). Hotel accommodation. Rest.
Day 2
Transfer to Eua island by plane (7-minute flight) or by boat. Check-in at the hotel. Lunch. Briefing. Sea voyage for whale swimming. Dinner.
Days 3-4
At 08:15 we will have breakfast.
At 09:00 transfer to the port. We board our boat and go in search of whales.
We divide into 2 subgroups of 4 people each and take turns diving the whales, as local laws do not allow more than 4 people (plus guide) to be in the water with the whales.
At about 1:00pm we have a small lunch.
At 16:30 we go back to the hotel to rest.
At 09:00 transfer to the port. We board our boat and go in search of whales.
We divide into 2 subgroups of 4 people each and take turns diving the whales, as local laws do not allow more than 4 people (plus guide) to be in the water with the whales.
At about 1:00pm we have a small lunch.
At 16:30 we go back to the hotel to rest.
Day 5
Sunday is an official holiday in Tonga and working is prohibited. That's why we're resting too. But only from whales. You and I are going to explore the island.
Days 6-7
At 08:15 we will have breakfast.
At 09:00 transfer to the port. We board our boat and go in search of whales.
We divide into 2 subgroups of 4 people each and take turns diving the whales, as local laws do not allow more than 4 people (plus guide) to be in the water with the whales.
