Snorkeling and diving with humpback whales, the Tongatapu island
Tonga is special because it's here that migration routes of humpback whales from Antarctica are, it's here that humpback's females give birth and breed their cubs and particularly here there's an opportunity to swim with those giants in the open oceanic waters within arm's reach (Tonga is rightfully considered to be the best place in the world for that!). After implementation of main program there is an optional part – diving with sharks in Fiji. Practically every single dive brings encounter with 7 different types of sharks: blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, grey and silver reef sharks, nurse and lemon sharks, and, clearly «stars of the show», bull sharks. Shark watching proceeds without a cage, each immersion is strictly planned and organized.
Arrival to Tonga (TBU Airport). Accommodation in a hotel. Rest. Evening briefing.
Days 2 - 6
08:15 – breakfast. 09:00 – transfer to a sea port. Boating in the ocean to find humpbacks. After we found the whales – we divide into 2 groups of 4 people each and dive in turn due to local rules that allow staying in a water with whales not more than 4 people (and a guide) simultaneously. At around 13:00 we're having light lunch. At 16:30 – going back to a hotel, resting.
Day 7
Sunday is official holiday in Tonga so no one is allowed to work, everybody rests. Due to this circumstance we will also have rest, but only from the whales. This day we'll be exploring the island and will dive into beautiful caves.
